This herb is perfect for cleansing and protecting your space from negative energies and for opening the roads of spiritual connection.
Sage, a member of the lamiaceae family, is a common garden herb with a long history of culinary and medicinal use in Mediterranean cultures. This perennial plant is prized for its aromatic leaves, which are used as a flavoring in many traditional dishes. The leaves of the sage plant can be extracted using diluted alcohol or boiling water as partial solvents, to create a tonic, astringent, expectorant, and diaphoretic remedy.
As a tonic and astringent, sage is known to have a tightening and strengthening effect on the body's tissues. Additionally, its expectorant properties help to promote the clearance of mucus from the respiratory tract, making it a popular choice for treating coughs and colds. Sage is also considered to be a diaphoretic, meaning it helps to induce sweating, which can be beneficial for promoting detoxification and reducing fever.
