Anise
Anise, a gas-relieving plant, usually used as a spice that stimulates digestive functions. It is an ally for digestion and is effective for children with digestive problems. The seeds are used in cooking for flavor in sugar sweets, given its licorice like flavor. The leaves are used in salads, as well as flavoring in alcohol. This plant prevents bad breath, and relieves difficult digestion * painful bowel spasms, even in children. It has a strong *carminative effect with gastrointestinal, antispasmodic action.
Anise is an expectorant, antiseptic recommended to treat dry cough, bronchitis, and pharyngitis.
Increases milk production in nursing moms, regulates menstrual.
Combine equal parts of these herbs with anise for a digestive tea: fennel, lemon balm and steep for 10 min.
Precautions:
Anise is not recommended during pregnancy/lactation.
Nor for children under 6 with epilepsy, do not use for extended time.
*Carminative: Either relieves flatulence or prevents the formation of gas in gastrointestinal tract.
*Antispasmodic: Agent that relieves muscle spasms.
